‘I know I’m protected

Because his arms cradle me.

I know I walk the right path

Because his little finger leads me.

He dabbles with celluloid

So I know I can see,

I know I can write

Because his ink flows in me.

I know I can

Because he believes,

I know I’m

Because he is…….’

I thought of starting the blog with feelings that a daughter(Meghna Gulzar) writes about her father.

“Because he is…” is collection of her memories along with pictures. Initially I thought how could someone write about a topic so personal to one. But I was wrong. I guess it needs a lot to share Gulzar Saheb with others. Thanks to her ! because she knows, people like us are longing to read more about the seamless poet……………….

‘Bosky‘,as Gulzar Saheb fondly addresses her, recounts the soft, sweet and bitter moments of her life. She has written about people who stood by them through think and thin. She has given an account of Gulzar Saheb’s ‘dincharya‘ as to how he starts his day and how the day takes its shape.Her writings are studded with beautiful nazams by Gulzar Saheb. What makes this book most cherished is how the writer has treated the subject. While reading one’ll get to feel how dear the subject is: ‘Papi‘ as she address him….every picture…every word reflects the love and bond they share…… Kudos to the writer……………
